About the Podcast
A podcast for pickleball players who are obsessed, curious, and sometimes confused.
Pickleball is exploding in popularity and morphing as it grows. How do you keep up with a sport that is constantly evolving in how it's played and in the equipment? Whom to ask when you don’t have a local coach?
Pickleball videos online can be entertaining, but watching paddle geniuses like the young icon Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns doesn’t really help a rec player who is a “mere mortal” on the court! No amateur (and few professionals) can approach the skill of these GOATS in this emerging sport. Watching them can be frustrating since how they play is not relevant to your game or what you’re wrestling with on the court (or in your own head!). Online video demos are from pro players whose game looks nothing like yours… or the demo doesn't answer the issues bugging you.
Pickleball Obsession fills the gap with practical answers for amateurs.
Each episode answers a single pickleball question in a quick 15 minutes, with clear, practical advice from a variety of certified PB coaches. No hour-long rambles about the pro circuit from pro players whose game bears no resemblance to yours - and are often competitors, not trained coaches. You’ll get info here with simple, smart explanations you can take straight to the court.
